Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global progress into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu, his smash hit of 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for Sony's Medellin-based subsidiary La Industria Inc. The album reached number 8 according to the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca and it was it was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina in the following year. He appeared later in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo's parents and brothers were musicians when they were born. According to Turizo, music is a vital component of his childhood. He began learning to play the saxophone and guitar as well as the keyboard and the ukulele when he was a young child. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian convinced him to take singing classes with a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of discovering the talent as a musician changed the trajectory of his life.
